You canAllow the client to send CEIP Data to the Operations Manager Management Server as the central collection point, rather than separately reporting data to a large number of clients. The management server of the primary CEIP service can then forward data to Microsoft. For CEIP Data Communication from the client to the management server, SSL protection can be used, Windows authentication can be used, and configurable ports can be redirected. The default port is TCP 51907. Use the client monitoring Configuration Wizard to configure CEIP on the management server.
When an application error occurs or the operating system stops responding, the error log is generated. It can be a dump file (. dmp) format, or other encoded or plain text log files. These logs contain useful information to help identify the root cause of the problem. Microsoft online crash analysis uses these reports.
If no proxy exception monitoring (AEM) is enabled on the Management Server, the client can configure to send their error reports to the Management Server and store them in file sharing.
Operations Manager can then aggregate and summarize data and provide views and reports for your use.. The management server also forwards data to Microsoft, rather than letting all clients separately execute data. AEM performs configuration by using the client monitoring Configuration Wizard and allows the following Configuration:
File Sharing path
Choose to collect error reports from a Windows Vista-Based Client
Management server port used for communication
SSL encryption
Windows Authentication
Name of the organization included in the Report
