What is a standing meeting?
Standing meetings are one of the techniques involved in scrum for Agile software development methodologies and are also known as best practices for scrum. The exact form is the same time every day, and all members of an Agile development team stand together face to head and have a short meeting for a duration of 15-20 minutes. At the meeting, everyone should answer the following three questions in turn:
1) from the last standing meeting to the present, what have you accomplished ?
2) What are you going to do from now to the next stand-up meeting ?
3) What obstacles do you encounter and how do you need other people to help you ?
What is the meaning and function of a standing meeting?
1) Create the conditions for team members to communicate with each other, and understand each other's work progress and work effectiveness;
2) to enable the project manager to promptly identify problems that hinder the progress of the project and solve, improve the success of the project chance;
3) Provide opportunities for exchange and sharing of experiences;
4)Team Building;
5) Coordination and synchronization between team members;
Precautions:
Always pay attention to the maintenance of the meeting rules, do not be late, delay, or instead sit open;
Stand-up meetings must not be late or delay, this will appear to pay more attention to the meeting, conducive to team development. Standing face-to-face communication with each other, expressing a more clear, vivid image, but also can appear more confident.
