Silence for javafx!
A few days ago, Oracle officially announced that it had acquired sun, and then announced Sun's development plan, specifically stating that it would abandon javafx and stop competition with Adobe Flex In the RIA field.
This is sad because javafx is an excellent technology, although it is still in its infancy.
Javafx packages an application into JNLP. deploying it to a desktop is equivalent to Adobe's air. embedding it into a webpage is similar to applet, and has the advantages of the widget technology, it can also take advantage of the powerful power of Java and unparalleled Open SourceCommunityLibrary.
I originally intended to port javafx to the digital TV set-top box platform. Now it seems that I have to give up, but unfortunately!
The prospect of MySQL is also worrying. Its founders are all planning to establish a MySQL Branch, which has prevented oracle from killing it.
Mourn javafx!
