1. Local multi-dimensional dataset

The local multi-dimensional dataset and local mining model allow you to analyze the workstation when the client workstation is disconnected from the network. When interacting with a local cube, admod. NET and analysis management objects (AMO) will also load the local cube engine. Only one process can access the local cube file, because the local cube engine will exclusively lock the local cube file when establishing a connection to the local cube.A process can have up to five connections at the same time.A. Cub file can contain multiple cubes or data mining models. You can use the local Multidimensional Dataset engine to query local multidimensional datasets and data mining models. You do not need to connect to the Analysis Services instance.

Core: The local protocol of Analysis Services is XML for analysis (XML/). Analysis Services provides several data access interfaces for client applications, but all these components use XML for analysis to communicate with the Analysis Services instance.
