When configuring the logging of the package, the gray "√" in front of the Containers, execute SQL task on the left indicates that the Execute SQL task inherits the configuration of the log records of the test log package. The properties of the Task, container within the package LoggingMode have three options: Useparentsetting, enable and Disable.
Useparentsetting represents the inheritance of the package's settings, enable means start logging, but needs to be configured Separately, disable indicates that the component's logs are not logged.
View the properties LoggingMode of the Execute SQL task and use the Useparentsetting option to inherit the package's logging configuration.
Parent Logging Options
Frequently, the logging options of tasks and for loops, Foreach loop, and Sequence containers match those of the package or A parent container. In the case, you can configure them to inherit their logging options from their parent container. For example, with a for loops container that includes an Execute SQL task, the Execute SQL task can use the logging options T Hat is set on the For Loop container. To use the parent logging options, you set the LoggingMode property of the container to useparentsetting . You can set this property in the Properties window of SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) or through the Configure SSIS L OGs dialog box in SSIS Designer.
example, setting the LoggingMode of the Execute SQL task to enable, separately configuring the log for Component records
Step1,execute SQL task preceded by a black "√", which represents the LoggingMode setting of the Execute SQL task enable, opens the providers andlogs option on the right, configures logging Provider, Select Use SSIS log provoder for SQL Server to log logging to a table in SQL Server.
