A few days ago finally due to copy a few discs under win2000, finally unable to bear the speed of the notebook tsstcorp CDW/DVD TS-L462D, TMD, stuck to death, the mouse is intermittent. To be honest, I wonder why such a new notebook has such a problem. I usually use Win2000 Server for work reasons, finally, I used XP in the dual system to install the playing software and compared the playback effect of the DVD. In fact, XP was quite smooth, and I checked neroinfo, the combo actually had a m cache ...... Unwilling, remembered the DMA settings, changed in the Registry
The dmaenabled value of HKLM/hardware/devicemap/SCSI port 1 is 1. The value 0 is invalid after restart!
Finally, I also remembered that the IDE IN THE DEVICE MANAGER also had settings. At first glance, the advanced settings in the secondary ide channel set the transfer mode of device 1 to "Pio only ", set it to "DMA (if available)", restart, OK! Check whether HKLM/hardware/devicemap/SCSI port 1/dmaenabled is 2.
I didn't change these default values when installing the system. The Asus laptop's support for Win2000 is too JB, so don't think people all over the world are using XP.
The writing is cold enough. I hope it will be useful for people who encounter similar problems.
