The CentOS system has just been installed in the VirtualBox, unable to adjust the screen resolution, and cannot set up shared folders. The workaround is to install the VirtualBox client enhancement package.
If you install the client-side enhancement package directly, you are prompted:
Building the virtualboxguest additions Kernel modules [failed]
Your system does not seem to BES set up to build Kernel Modules.
Look At/var/log/vboxadd-install.log-Find out-what went worg. Once you havecorrected it,you run
/etc/init.d/vboxadd setupto build them
The workaround is to execute the following command under the root user:
[Root@unitech ~]# yum Install kernel kernel-devel
[root@unitech ~]# yum install gcc
[Root@unitech ~]# yum Install -y gcc gcc-c++ makekernel-devel
After the installation is complete, restart the virtual machine to install the client-side enhancement package.
