I have been studying computer viruses for several years. I have found that many people may find strange and strange viruses. Many people say that he has installed professional anti-virus software and strictly followed their prompts. Why is there so many viruses? My work machine has been installing the system for two years. I have not installed any real-time virus monitoring software or any anti-spyware software. However, my machine has not been raped by any rogue software and has not found any traces of virus infection (of course there are many virus samples I use to study). The machine runs smoothly 24 hours a day. By studying the operational habits of many colleagues, I found that many people are prone to two mistakes, which are now an important condition for most viruses and Trojans to breed and infect.
These two errors: one is to use a FAT file system on windows, and the other is to use a Windows Administrator Account to surf the Internet and perform daily work. These two habits are a habit of many computer users, including some professional software developers, but they are a taboo in computer system security. These two errors are common, but unfortunately they are not listed in the promotional materials of computer antivirus software vendors. In the promotional materials, we publicize the installation of their genuine anti-virus software, and upgrade their virus library every day. In fact, if users can avoid these two errors, most of the existing Trojans and viruses cannot constitute a threat at all, and their products are far less important than publicity.
To illustrate this, I specially collected several samples of recently popular viruses and Trojans, such as "pandatv", "golden pig", and "Mai Ying", and conducted a series of experiments, test whether the virus can be transmitted if the virus monitoring function is not installed but the NTFS file system is used and the restricted account is used to log on to the system.
The experimental results show that none of the three viruses can spread, or even survive after the account is logged out. This means that, even if no anti-virus software is used, Windows will naturally be immune to these viruses in the correct way.
So do antivirus software vendors know the importance of this? If they know why they have not been promoted as a precaution, why? In this regard, I tend to think that they are clearly aware, but are unwilling to make it clear. Because, in this way, the use of anti-virus software is not so obvious.
