First, why do I need to install VMware Tools in VMware Workstation?
Because I want to replicate the files on the physical machine to the virtual machine. As for the standard concept and role of VMware Tools, you should find out more about the standard data.
The physical machine system is Win7, and the virtual machine system is Ubuntu.
- Click "Virtual Machine" in the Virtual machine menu bar;
- Click on "Install VMware Tools" (here because I have installed successfully, so the display is "Reinstall ...");
- The file "vmwaretools-9.6.2-1688356.tar.gz" will be found on the desktop after installation;
- Right click on this file, "Extract here", a file called "Vmware-tools-distrib" will appear on the desktop;
- CD into this folder and install it with the sudo command
The command is as follows:
sudo./vmware-install.pl
- Then go all the way to the ENTER key until you see the following, indicating that the installation completed successfully.
