In the virtual machine, we sometimes need to interact with the local data, but we are often overwhelmed by such a simple problem, so it will be cumbersome to transfer data through the network, or directly through the USB disk, in this computer and virtual machine data interaction.

This article describes one of the easiest ways to solve the problem of data interaction between virtual machines and native machines.
Let me introduce my computer environment first. The host system is Windows 7, the ThinkPad E40. Virtual machine VMware Workstation is installed on the computer, the version is 7.1.4 build-385536. Inside the virtual machine, the installed customer operating system is Ubuntu's 11.10 version of the system. My goal now is to download the software under Windows 7 and then go to Ubuntu and install my software on the Ubuntu operating system.
The steps are as follows:
1. Under this machine, create the specified folder. I created the Ubuntu folder under E disk on my computer and started to set it to be shared. Move the cursor over the folder, right-click, and select Properties. Click to share
Select _vmware_user, note the right level of permission, preferably set to read/write, in order to facilitate.
Click on the lower right corner of the share, so that our local folder has been set up.

2, set up virtual machine VMware, its specific settings reference

First, install VMware Tools
To start your Windows XP client, click the Virtual Machine menu and choose the "Install VMware Tools" item, as shown in the following illustration:
The client system will automatically install, always click "Next", after the installation is completed click "OK" button, restart the client system, VMware Tools installed.

Click the "Browse" button to select the F shared folder set above. As shown in the following illustration:
Click the "OK" button and return to the "Map Network Drive" and click "Finish" button. A network drive was created in My computer. As shown in the following illustration:
Just click on the network drive in the red Oval to access the shared folder.
