Volvo launches the world's first "Cyclists" Detection System

Volvo has launched the world's first "Cyclists Detection System". When a bicycle is detected suddenly standing in front of it, it will automatically stop at full force. According to the manufacturer, the ride detection system is built on its existing detection and automatic braking technology and will be deployed and used for all vehicles using Pedestrian detection. The system goes straight forward: sensors keep an eye on pedestrians, cyclists, and nearby pedestrians and vehicles.

When it is detected that someone suddenly switches in front of the vehicle, the sensor system will predict the upcoming collision and automatically stop the vehicle with full force brake. For more information, see the following video.
