What is hadoop?

Hadoop is a distributed computing platform written in Java. It mainly includes a distributed file system HDFS and a mapreduce computing model. The two modules are designed for reference.

Currently, hadoop cannot be run directly on windows, but cygwin can be used to simulate Linux running, which may be less efficient.

I have ever installed the service, and successfully run the demo word count mapreduce program.

It seems much cool and fancy. You can use this architecture to analyze your log files or some other heavy data-generated applications.
