Exfat
Exfat is a file system suitable for flash memory introduced by Microsoft in Windows embeded 6.0. For flash memory, the NTFS file system is too complex and exfat is more suitable.
Compared with the fat file system, exfat has the following benefits:
• Enhanced interoperability between desktop computers and mobile devices
• There is no file size limit of 4 GB (the specific size of MS is not given, and the Wiki introduction is incorrect)
• The cluster size can be up to 32 MB
• The remaining space allocation table is used to improve the performance of remaining space allocation
• The maximum number of files in the same directory exceeds 1000
• Supports access control
• Supports tfat
The flash drive using this file system does not support Windows Vista readyboost. Windows Vista SP1 supports this file system.
Windows XP (SP3) cannot recognize the exfat format USB flash drive!
Exfat file format driver under XP system: http://rosibo8.bibidu.com/server57/kjso/exFAT.exe
