There is a system volume information hidden folder under the root directory of each disk, which can be large or small, as large as a few G, as small as a few M. What is its purpose?
It actually records the original recovery point of the system and stores the restored backup information.
Restore points are divided into two types: one is automatically created by the system,
Including system check points and installation recovery points; the other is created by the user as needed, also called manual recovery points. As the user's system time increases, there will be more and more recovery points, resulting in fewer and fewer hard disk space. Finally, the warning "insufficient disk space" will be reported ".
How to delete
1. Right-click my computer and select Properties
2. Select the System Restore tab.
3. Check "turn off System Restore on All Drives" and then confirm.
4. After "System Restore" is disabled, you can delete the "system volume information" folder under the root directory of the drive.
It is recommended that the system be restored and enabled after deletion to prevent future system problems and fail to be restored. Remember to clear the problem frequently.
