I received the check in English. What should I do next? Where can I change the money?
Go to the local bank of China to handle the "check collection" business.
Check collection procedure
After receiving the check from the postman, take the check and your ID card (some banks may need your seal) to the local bank of China (or other banks with foreign currency business) in front of the foreign currency section or foreign currency counter.
First, your signature is required for the specified position on the back of the check. The signature must be consistent with the front recipient (don't worry, the bank staff will tell you ~~);
Second, you need to pay a certain amount of service fees to the bank and the mail fee of the check (the check must be sent to a foreign bank). The fee charged varies depending on the situation in different regions. The postage generally ranges from 10-12 yuan, and the handling fee is generally 0.1% of the check amount (less than 10 yuan is paid at 10 yuan );
Once again, leave your contact number and collect the receipt. After about one month, the bank will notify you that the payment has been received by phone.
Finally, take your receipt and ID card to the foreign currency counter, then you will be able to see your dollar! (Note: If you directly store the US dollars in a bank, the interest rate will be higher than that of the US dollars ~~)
Note: check may be valid for some companies, so you must handle the collection formalities as soon as possible! For example, "void after 90 days" indicates that the check is valid for 90 days.
