There may be many types of bonuses. Here we will focus on project prizes and year-end bonuses. Years have passed, and the belief in this method has also begun to be prepared. Here I will share two little stories, hoping to give you some inspiration.
Year-end Award
As mentioned in an article, a high-tech company has a poor performance this year than last year, and the year-end bonus may not be the same as last year. The boss used the following method to reduce the negative sentiment: first, he shouted that he would cut off the job a year ago, but he was about to drop the salary for everyone, the result is that after the year-end general assembly, the boss personally sent you a red envelope as the year-end bonus, with only half of the money in it last year. At the end of the article, employees are very happy.
My point is:
The logic of the boss sending the year-end bonus through deception is to assume that the IQ of his employees is very low, and he is easy to be cheated. He is very grateful after being cheated and does not think about it at the same time ,. We can tolerate overtime and work pressure, but cannot tolerate deception. We do not make all our passionate work to be fooled. I believe that if the boss does this, there will be more employees who leave the company later than he imagined. People who are smart and deceiving others tend to pay more.
If the company really thinks that employees are very important, do not use deception to keep employees. Everyone knows what the company's performance is. Honestly, most employees will understand it. If there are really employees who do not understand it, it may just mean that the company should replace these "blood" or find some "blood" places that are more suitable for their own development. This is nothing wrong!
Comments:We work for a job, but do not insult my IQ.
Project Award
Two days ago, when I had dinner with my buddy (we called him a), he raised the following question: when my company was working on a project two years ago, the company's senior executives promised to pay a lot of bonuses, but now the project is finished, but only half of the prize is given. A: I want to hear my opinion.
LEO: "The company hasn't explained why ?"
A: "Not mentioned ."
LEO: "What are your plans ?"
A: "I want to try again to bring back the other bonuses promised by the project company. The company insisted on not giving it. I am going to find a new job opportunity ."
LEO: "Is this project longer than planned ?"
A: "This is because the demand analysis is unfavorable and some customers propose functional changes. The project development cycle is nearly doubled ." LEO: "What is the project cycle ?"
A: "It was originally 12 months, but it took two years to complete the acceptance. 5% of customers of the final payment will be paid one year after acceptance ."
LEO: "I think it's okay to make it half done !"
A: "I cannot accept it. It is far from what the company promised ."
......
My point is:
1. The company is sincere
A's boss is a technical source, which is unwilling to express the difficulties. The project has been developed like this for a year, no matter what the reason is. Send again, at least to indicate that the company is more concerned about the commitment. The project's expected profit is low, and the company has difficulties. However, I still paid some of the project bonuses to keep everyone and keep the foundation and backbone of the company's development. We can see that the company is committed to moving forward with everyone.
2. The company is also wrong.
The boss layer should report the actual situation and thoughts of the company to everyone, and express sincerity. But they didn't. They only gave half of the project prize. Naturally, everyone complained. What's wrong is that communication is not in place.
3. How do I do it myself?
Did we make full use of what we should do, improve our work in the project, and become the backbone of project development and the company? If so, we will get something other than money-the cost of promotion and salary increase; if not, review yourself. The company may not make a full offer for some reason.
After dinner, my buddy said he would go back and check the situation, think about his job, and decide whether to seek the other half of the prize.
Comments:Do not only view the results, but also the process.
To sum upSimilarly, only half of the prize will be paid. I suggest you leave the former (the story of the year-end Award) as soon as possible, because the boss uses deception to deal with us on a matter of principle, and the latter (the story of the Project Award) I suggest you make a decision after careful investigation, because the company has shown sincerity in doing things. Whether we are a company or we may all want to contribute our energy to our partners who wish to grow with us and treat us with sincerity. The facts will also tell us that this is worthwhile.
I hope this article will help you and listen to your opinions. Leave a message and share your comments!
