In Word 2007, users can set printing options to make printing settings more suitable for practical use, and the settings you make apply to all Word documents. To set the Word document printing options in Word 2007, the following steps are described:
Step 1th, open the Word 2007 document window, and click the Office Button → Word Options button, as shown in the figure.

Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Show tab. The optional print options are listed in the Word 2007 print options area, and the role of each item is described as follows:
(1) Select the Word 2007 "print graphics created in Word" option to print graphics created using the Word drawing tool;
(2) Select the Word 2007 "Print background colors and images" option to print the background color set for the Word document and the picture inserted in the Word document;
(3) Select the Word 2007 "Print document properties" option to print Word document content and document property content (such as document creation date, last modified date, and so on);
(4) Select the Word 2007 "Print hidden text" option to print text in a Word document that is set as a hidden property;
(5) Select the Word 2007 "Update fields before printing" option to update the fields in your Word document before you print the Word document;
(6) Select the Word 2007 "update linked data before printing" option to first update the links in the Word document before you print the Word document, as shown in the figure.

Step 3rd, in the Word 2007 Word Options dialog box, switch to the Advanced tab, and in the print area you can further set the printing options, and the role of each item is described as follows:
(1) Select the Word 2007 "Use draft quality" option to print Word documents at a lower resolution, thereby reducing consumables costs and increasing printing speed;
(2) Select the Word 2007 "Print Spooler" option to continue editing the document while the Word document is printed, otherwise you can edit it only after the print task is finished;
(3) Select the Word 2007 "Reverse print page" option to print the document from the bottom of the page until the top of the page;
(4) Select the Word 2007 "Print XML tags" option to print an XML tag when you print an XML document;
(5) Select the Word 2007 Print field code instead of the field value option to print the field code when you print a Word document that contains a field, without printing a field value;
(6) Select the Word 2007 "Print on the front of double-sided paper" option to print the current Word document on the front of the paper when using a printer that supports duplex printing;
(7) Select the Word 2007 "Print on the back of paper for duplex Printing" option to print the current Word document on the back of the paper when using a printer that supports duplex printing;
(8) Select Word 2007 "Scale content to fit the A4 or 8.5" X11 paper size option, automatically use A4 or 8.5 "X11" sized paper when the printer does not support the type of paper specified in Word Page setup;
(9) Use of the paper tray can be selected in the Word 2007 "Default Tray" list, which makes sense only if the printer has more than one tray, as shown in the figure.
