Xcode 5.1.1 (Xcode5) and Xcode 6.0.1 (Xcode6) are both official versions, and their application file names are "Xcode ". If you use an AppStore upgrade or simply use the DMG installation package for installation, the new version will directly overwrite the old version.

Upgrade Xcode 6 to apply its new features. However, it does not support iOS 6 application development. Xcode5 has to be retained because it is still common to take care of iOS 6 users during actual development.

Developers who are unfamiliar with some feature revisions of Xcode6 may also consider retaining Xcode5.

Open the Finder, enter the "application" folder, and create a new folder named "Xcode 5 ".
