Although Microsoft's IE browser version 8.0 is enhanced in terms of security, it is greatly weakened in terms of FTP access functionality and convenience, microsoft has removed many FTP access functions from earlier versions in IE7. As a result, users who used a browser to access FTP often encounter some problems when using IE7 to access FTP. Therefore, the following two solutions are provided:
I. Alternative Methods
Step 1: Start internetexplorer 8. On the menu bar, select Tools> Internet Options> advanced> check box, select Enable FTP folder view (outside internetexplorer), and click OK.
Step 2: open my computer or resource manager and enter the FTP address in the address bar.
If you have already opened the FTP site in IE8, select "page" on the top right of the menu bar-> open FTP in a windows browser
2. Modify the Registry (which may be harmful to the system and is not recommended)
Click Start, click Run, enter regedit, and click OK,
Locate and click *** table subitem HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ internetexplorer \ main \ featurecontrol \ feature_internet_shell_folders to change the icycler.exe item value from 0 to 1, and then re-enable IE.
3. Open "Resource Manager" and enter "FTP service address" in the address bar ".
Based on the above, you can create batch processing on the desktop. Content:
Explorer.exe FTP service address
Example: assumer.exe ftp: // User name: password @ 192.168.0.1 this method can be used to directly log on with the user name and password.
2. Use FTP. This is also the most secure method. Because FTP that can be accessed by the above two methods can only be accessed on the server of Windows2000 Server, but after some patches are installed on the FTP service of Windows2003 server, it is no longer possible for IE to directly access FTP, and it can only be accessed through tools, such as flahxp and CuteFTP.
