CVS nt2.0.58a + tortoisecvs Configuration

Because cross-network development is required, the company decided to use CVS as the configuration library management tool. I have never used CVS before, and my company's server uses window2003 system, so I started searching for information online.
After searching, we decided to use cvsnt + tortoisecvs for implementation.
From the http://www.cvsnt.org/down the latest version of cvsnt, default only 2.0.58 version, other versions not found.
The latest tortoisecvs version is available from sourceforge.net. The download address is:Http://nchc.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/tortoisecvs/TortoiseCVS-1.10.6.exe
Then I found a lot of relevant information on the Internet and started to install it.

After several attempts. Still cannot be used normally.

The next day, after inadvertently removing the port number, the call was successful.

The configuration process is as follows:
Cvsnt settings
1. Install cvsnt and restart
2. Open Service Control Panel
3. Set advabced-> temporary to any empty directory.
Select all options
Set the lock address to localhost. Do not change other options.
4. Add Repositories
Click Add and select an empty directory, such as location = C:/cvsadmin; name =/cvsadmin.
The system will prompt whether to initialize. Click OK.
5. If the cvsservice or cvslock service is not started, start them first.

Test Server
1. Start Menu-run-cmd to enter the command line Environment
2. Enter the directory of the CVS scripts file.
3. Set cvsroot =: sspi: localhost:/cvsadmin
4. Enter the CVS version to display the current cvsnt version.
Client: Concurrent Versions System (cvsnt) 2.0.58a (Client/Server
Server: Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.2 (Client/Server)
5. CVs Login
Enter your Windows login password
6. CVs ls
Display so module, there will be at least one cvsroot
7. If none of the preceding steps are correct, the cvsnt configuration is successful.

Add User
1. Use the CVS passwd command to add users and change passwords.
2. You can modify the passwd file in the C:/cvsadmin/cvsroot directory. If not, you can create one by yourself.
Add test:. A user named test with an empty password is added.
3. After adding a user, you can use: pserver: test @ localhost:/cvsadmin to log on.

Tortoisecvs settings
1. InstallTortoisecvsSelect full installation
2. restart the computer
3. Create a folder such as (c: \ test), right-click it, create a new module, and enter the IP address and User Name of the machine using the pserver protocol (do not enter the port number, I can suffer from it ),
The repositories folder is/cvsadmin
If nothing happens, a new module test will be created.
4. Test the checkout function: Right-click the menu-> CVS-> checkout and select a module name test. If you do not know it, you can use the list retrieval function.
5. OK. We are prompted that the CVS operation is successful, but we haven't seen anything. We can view the output information by ourselves, which contains cannot open CVS/entries for reading: no such file or directory. What does this mean, when the module in CVS is empty, it cannot obtain any entity, and nothing is generated. The solution is simple: Add a file to the newly created module and submit it, test it again. cvsadmin automatically generated for us. Ah, it hurts me.
