Automatic Update style means that in a Word document, the formatting in the style changes automatically as the text or paragraph formatting applied to a style changes. Users can enable or turn off the Automatic Update style feature as appropriate, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th, open the Word2007 document window and click the Display Style Window button in the Styles group in the start Ribbon, as shown in Figure 2008112717.

Step 2nd, in the Open Styles pane, right-click the style that you want to enable the Automatic Updates feature, and select Modify on the shortcut menu that opens, as shown in Figure 2008112718.

Step 3rd, open the Modify Style dialog box, select the Automatic Updates check box, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2008112719.

Tip: The Normal style does not enable the Automatic Updates feature.
