Google AdWords offers conversion tracking reports made up of conversion reports and channel search reports, which are advanced data reports that allow you to learn more about account conversions, conversion values, conversion URLs, and more through Google AdWords's conversion capabilities.
Conversion tracking works by placing a section of JS code on a computer or other device, and AdWords records a successful conversion when a user clicks on an AdWords ad to enter the site and reach the target page. Click Conversions (Conversion) under the Reporting and Tools tab to see the AdWords conversion tracking report.
Conversion type
The default conversion tracking types are purchase/sell (Purchase/sale), leads, sign-up (Signup), critical web browsing (view of a key page) and others (other).
* Purchase/Sale helps e-commerce websites to track purchases and sales.
* Leads can track how many users have visited a location on the site and have contacted your company in that location (for example, by filling out a related form on the site).
* Key Web browsing tags keep track of specific pages that visitors can value on the site.
* Registration shows who registered the service on the website.
* Other tags can be used to define your own conversion type.
Conversion detail Data
The conversion details bar lists the custom conversion names, tracking purposes, tracking status, conversions, conversion value, and conversion URLs.
* Conversion name. The conversion name is customized, and if it's a conversion tracking target imported from Google Analytics, the default conversion name is the target name in Google Analytics.
* Tracking purpose. The tracking purpose in AdWords is one of the five types mentioned above, and the goals that are imported from Google Analytics are divided into other (others).
* Tracking status. View this column to see if the set tracking target is being executed correctly, common states such as deleted, Reporting, unverified, No activity for over, and the valid status should be Reporting.
* Number of conversions. Conversions (Many-per-click) shows multiple conversion data per click, and the default validity period is 30 days.
* Conversion value. The size of the conversion value depends on the conversion tracking settings, and if the target value for each conversion tracking setting is 1, the conversion value is consistent with the conversion quantity data, and the conversion value depends on the number of conversions and the unit price of the commodity if the target value for each conversion tracking setting is a dynamic variable.
* Conversion page. The conversion page displays the source URL of the conversion, which tracks the conversion metrics by page.
In addition to rendering conversion data in the conversion tracking report, Google AdWords provides two dimension data reports for conversion tracking purposes and conversion tracking names in the dimension labels in the campaign, and the data report in the dimension labels has a "Browse conversion value" scale in addition to the basic data.
Google AdWords's conversion tracking reports can only track information about your account, such as a campaign, ad group or ad that forms a conversion, and details about conversions, such as order items, number of items, unit price, etc., cannot be tracked. To track this data, we recommend using the ecommerce features of Google Analytics.
