Zend Framework 1.0 Official edition to be released soon

In Monday, Zend Technology will provide a 1.0 version of its development architecture for PHP Web application development, which has attracted more than 1 million downloads in pre-release form.

The Zend Framework 1.0 will not be the only PHP development framework around, as it will be shared with frameworks like cake and Prado. But Zend said the Zend development framework was the first to get the support and contributions of large companies and large companies like IBM and Google.

"It's an application framework for building efficient Web applications and Web Services in PHP," said Andi Gutmans, CTO and co-founder of Zend. ”

For functions such as authentication, access control, filtering, and session management, architectural guidelines, best practices, and reusable components are the main features. Zend offers its free open source framework, but sells ancillary support services.

It also has some features that support Web services protocols such as RSS, Atom, and rest. Google provides Google Data APIs that allow Zend users access to Google Apps, like its calculator and tabulation software. For example, Gutmans says these applications may be included in a mashup.

IBM has contributed to framework encapsulation, such as Ajax and search techniques. IBM has used this framework as the basis for the Qedwiki project that integrates Web2.0 applications, Zend company said.

Some Strikeiron Web services are also embodied in this framework.

A port on the Lucene Java Search home page is also included, which allows for detailed search on a Web application. PDF documents can also be improved and saved within the framework. The version 1.0 provides a pattern-browsing control structure to separate application logic from the presentation layer and the accelerated application test performance.

Analyst Mark Driver, vice president of Gartner's research firm, says the Zend framework has shown a good start.

"The only important part that is missing now is the visual control of the component pattern." "Driver said. He cautions that programmers should be familiar with rapid application development techniques and fourth-generation languages.

"The positive aspect is that these things are needed by mainstream it programmers," Driver said. But he also mentioned that traditional PHP developers have already expressed satisfaction with these already available.

Driver says the Zend framework presents a broad framework compared to some of the most sophisticated PHP solutions. However, Driver said the Zend Company and its framework "entered the market a little late."

The upcoming Zend Framework will increase support for Microsoft's CardSpace certification technology. Microsoft, the Zend Company's partner, enables SQL Server to work with this framework.
