Font outlines and device Fonts
When a flash document is published or exported, the font in the text field is represented by the embedded font outline or font name. Alternatively, you can use a device font to specify a generic font, such as sans serif.
Font outline and name
For static text, flash creates the font outlines and embeds them into the SWF file. Flash Player then uses these outlines to display text.
For dynamic text or input text, flash stores the font name. When the FLASH application is displayed, Flash Player searches for the same or similar font on the user's system. To ensure that you have the correct font to Display Dynamic text or input text, you can embed the font outline, but this will increase the file size.
Not all fonts displayed in flash can be exported as outlines along with the flash application. To verify whether the font can be exported, you can use the "View"> "Preview mode"> "remove text sawtooth" command to preview the text; if the font is jagged, flash cannot recognize the outline of the font and does not export the text.
