For all friends who are troubled by the content store that chooses DB2 as Cognos

CM-CFG-5137 content manager was unable to complete the initialization of the content store.

CM-SYS-5003 Content Manager is unable to access the content store. verify your database connection parameters, and then contact your database administrator for maintenance ance. the default tablespace with a page size of at least "4096" and a license id of "db2admin" cannot be found.

 

If you want to use DB2 as the content store, you need to do the following:

1. Use the control center or command line to create a database named cm. The name does not matter, but it is best to keep this name.

2. Note the following when creating CM:

A. Character Set to select UTF-8

B. Page size of the database you created

3. create two tablespaces for the database cm. One is the regular user tablespace. The page size must be the same as the page size for creating the database. We recommend that you create a separate buffer pool. In addition, you must create a regular temporary tablespace, the page size must be the same as the page size for creating a database. We recommend that you use a separate buffer pool.

4. grant permissions to these two tablespaces and grant them to user users.

5. In the Cognos Configuration tool, select content store, set the user ID and password, and assign permissions to users in the tablespace, such as user. Set the database name to CM. Right-click test to view test results.

6. After saving the file, start the Cognos service and check whether any errors have occurred.

 

Other problems during startup:

1. db2jcc. jar and db2jcc_license_xxx.jar files should be put under Cognos/C8/webapp/p2pd/WEB-INF/lib, the specific content is subject to the IBM document.

2. If the above settings are correct, but an error is reported, close the Cognos Configuration tool and try again, because the configuration change cannot take effect immediately.
