One, nvidia dual graphics model
1. Right click on the left side of the desktop, select "Nvidia Control Panel" and click on the "View" menu to make sure the "Show GPU activity icon in notification area" is checked.
2. The GPU Activity prompt icon appears in the notification area at the lower right corner of the screen when checked.
3. Hover the mouse pointer over this icon and the current status will be displayed. If the standalone video card is not turned on, "none" is displayed;
4, left click the icon, the display "None" also indicates that Nvidia independent graphics card is not turned on;
5, when the independent graphics card, the mouse pointer rests on this icon does not click, showing that there are currently several programs are using a discrete graphics card, to prove that the Nvidia independent graphics card has been turned on;
6, left click on the icon, does not show "none" to prove that the standalone video card is turned on, and will display the currently using the standalone graphics program icon.

Third, AMD (ATI) dual graphics models
1. Right click on the blank space of the desktop, select "Configure the exchangeable display card" (Some models show "Configure ATI Powerxpress");
2, "Currently Active graphics processing unit" below if the display is "high-performance GPU", indicating that the current is a discrete graphics card at work. If the "power-saving GPU" is displayed, it is set to work.
