First, solve Win7/winvista folder sharing problem

Friends with Win7 and Vista dual systems may be able to remove password-protected sharing for convenience when Win7/vista share files. This allows you to add everyone or guest permissions when you share a folder. General shared folders are in the form of wizards, and adding user settings permissions is simple and no problem.

But when you see someone sharing a drive, you're having problems. Is that the network Neighborhood can see the shared drive, but the access prompts for no permissions. Because the shared drive cannot use the wizard, you can only use advanced sharing, but it is clear that everyone's permissions have been added to the advanced share, and that the share is subject to the permissions of the file system NTFS in addition to assigning the appropriate permissions.

Therefore, you must also add the appropriate NTFS permissions to the Security tab of the drive, and the formatted drive under Win7/vista and the following directory defaults to no permissions for everyone and guest. However, the general shared folder does not experience problems because NTFS permissions are automatically matched and updated as they are shared through the wizard.

The default folder permissions under Win7/vista are different from those of XP. The default permissions for a formatted drive under Win7/vista are: AuthenticatedUsers (this is not available for XP), systemadministrators Administrators group, users limited Users group, The default permissions for XP are: the Administrators Administrators group. Creatorowner creates the owner of the folder that Vista does not have.

Everyonexp the drive has read-only permissions by default. Systemusers Although the specific permissions are somewhat different, there are also differences in the default folder permissions created by default.

But the biggest difference is the owner. The folder owner created under XP is the specific user who created the folder, so an unknown account that appears as a SID appears after NTFS after the folder has been set to reload the system. The Win7/vista default owner is the group, for example, you are the administrator, and the folder owner you created is the Administrators group. So the folders created under Win7/vista do not have the appropriate permissions for Creatorowner.

WORKAROUND: Just click on the right key/attribute/security in the shared folder or system NTFS-formatted disk you created: In the group or user Name field, click Edit, click Add, and enter the Everyone point "OK" in the Enter object name to select. The XP machine will be able to access the shared drives and folders you created in Win7/vista.

Second, Win7 volume small horn does not appear volume adjustment button

Right button is a response, click on the left button should appear sound level of regulation, but now click the left button a little reaction is not.

Workaround: This is the right time to restore the deleted item as soon as the startup item in the registry is restored. Start--run input regedit open the registry, turn on Hkey_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionrun to create a new string "Systray" in its right window ( Right-click New on Run, and the key value (double-click Edit on Systray) is "C:windowssystem32systray.exe".

Third, unable to use Win7readyboost

Computer memory is small, the Windows system installed after the optimization, but then plugged into the USB2.0 flash, but found no longer use the ReadyBoost function.

Workaround: If ReadyBoost is not enabled, it is most likely that the optimization software shuts down the Windows7 SuperFetch service, as long as you reopen the SuperFetch service to resolve the failure that ReadyBoost cannot enable. In the Start menu, services.msc the search box and enter the service, locate the SuperFetch service, change its startup type to "Automatic", and change the service status to "start".

If you are prompted to start the service and say you cannot enable it, you can enter "regedit" in the Start Menu's search box and return to the Registry Editor, and then navigate to the Hkey_local_machine/system/currentcontrolset/control /sessionmanager

/memorymanagement/prefetchparameters ", Change the" Enablesuperfetch "key value on the right to 3, and then restart the service.

Resolve Idle eSATA interface influence Win7 start speed

Many motherboards have at least one eSATA interface to facilitate users to connect external hard drives and other devices, but many users actually do not use it, so idle, but it is this idle eSATA interface, may be slowed down your Windows7 operating system startup speed?

This problem occurs because the initialization timing of the Microsoft AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) does not exactly match the SATA specification, and should therefore result in a longer time to detect the Esta interface.

Solution: Microsoft has issued a hot fix (Hotfix) for this purpose, but it is not publicly available, and the need is available to the Microsoft Support Center.
