Although there may be 1000 different reasons for 10000 people to reject chrome, I believe many people will mention the problem that Chrome occupies too much system memory. In fact, there are many ways to solve this problem.
1. Add a memory cleanup button in the task manager:
Add the -- purge-memory-button startup parameter when starting chrome. The Purge memory button shown in appears in chrome task manager, click it to immediately clear the memory occupied by chrome but not in use.
2, 3. Reduce the use of extensions. Use userscripts and bookmarklets instead:
Chrome expansion also occupies memory. In fact, some simple functions can be completed through userscripts and bookmarklet. It is worth mentioning that Chrome can directly install userscripts without relying on greasemonkey as Firefox does.
4. Use the built-in flash plug-in:
This is currently limited to the latest Dev version. You can use the -- enable-Internal-flash parameter to start chrome to open the built-in flash plug-in, which is undoubtedly more memory-saving than the traditional flash plug-in.
