This article mainly introduces four frequently used downloading techniques, some of which may be commonly used and some of which may not be noticed. I hope this will help you increase the download speed.
Method 1:
1. Do not install thunder in the system partition: The system partition is the "old nest" of the Windows operating system. Every time you execute a task, scan the partition. Thunder is installed in system partitions by default. It can be installed in other partitions during installation to avoid affecting system stability and improving the speed of thunder execution at a certain level. Similarly, do not specify the system partition in the default download directory.
2. modify the number of TCP connections in the system: For security reasons, Windows XP SP2 limits the number of TCP connections to a maximum of 10, but affects the download speed and has a greater impact on BT download. Thunder comes with "XP system optimization tool" (in the "tool" menu of thunder). It is recommended to change it to a maximum of 1024 and then restart the computer.
3. optimize the configuration of thunder parameters: In the thunder configuration item, the disk cache should not be too large, too large to occupy more physical memory, it will also affect the system's execution speed, we recommend that users with less than 4096 MB of memory be set to less than kb. All threads must be enabled.
4. Do not open too many tasks. It is better to have less than three tasks simultaneously.
5. disable the "download and virus detection and removal option": In general, movies do not carry viruses. Most files with viruses are in rar or exe format, we recommend that experienced users disable "download the virus detection and removal option ". This option only slows down the system when multiple files are downloaded. You can disable it as needed.
6. Restrict the upload speed: no limit on the upload speed will greatly reduce your download speed. After the test, the download speed is limited to 1 kb/S and above 250 kb/S. If there is no limit, the download speed is reduced to 80 ~ 100 kb/S. We recommend that you set the upload speed to 1 ~ 5KB/S.
7. Stop BT upload: After the BT download is complete, the 5.6 beta version will resume uploading for at least 30 minutes by default. Currently, you can only manually pause the upload after the BT task is complete. For users with relatively high upload speed, pausing upload will increase the download speed of other tasks.
8. use the "pause"-"start" button in a timely manner: Sometimes, tasks search for more than 100 resources, but the speed is reduced. At this time, you can pause the task and start again, when the server is re-searched for resources, the speed increases significantly. This method is 95% valid.
9. Use the "pause"-"start" button for BT tasks: Same as above. Sometimes, BT resources may exceed 1000, which slows down at the same speed. Pause-start to obtain high-speed download again.
