Two, empty Foxmail mailbox has the wonderful recruit
Foxmail is a very much used mail transceiver program, but according to the author found a small disadvantage of it: when the letter in the mailbox a lot of time, handling the unusually slow, sometimes even die! The usual solution is to enter the Foxmail, and then delete the section in the mailbox, and then empty, Compressed Scrap box.
However, according to the author's experiment, it is found that the empty mailbox containing many letters will also cause Foxmail to stop responding. In fact, the author has a very ingenious way to solve this problem:
Run the Foxmail installer, install it into another new folder, and then run the foxmail that you just installed, follow the wizard to create a new username, such as Xiaojian, and then go to the User name folder under Foxmail Mail folder (such as C:foxmailmail Xiaojian), At this point you will find Account.stg, in. BOX, in. IND, out. BOX, out. IND, sent. BOX, sent. IND, Trash. box and trash.ind9 files, select 8 files in addition to ACCOUNT.STG, copy them to your original Foxmail mail under the user folder (such as G:foxmailmailarticles) can quickly empty the corresponding user's all mailboxes.
Third, the regular receipt of mail
In the past, when using Foxmail to receive mail, always rely on the manual way to manage the mail, so not only complicated operation, but also delayed a lot of time. In fact, Foxmail provides a lot of automatic functions can completely replace the work we have done before! Today we look at how to get Foxmail to automatically receive a letter at a fixed time.
Right-click the account, select "Properties", open the Account Properties window, select the "Receive Mail" tab, tick the "Automatically collect new mail every few minutes" check box on the right, select it and enter the required time in the following text box. This time interval can be seen as the importance of the letter, for the more important the letter, the shorter the time may be set, such as 3 minutes (figure).
In the meantime, in order to keep it from interfering with your normal work and silently in the background, you can click the tools → system settings command to cancel the "Show Progress window when automatically collecting messages" in the General tab.
Iv. use of Super "SpeedPost"
The implementation principle of SpeedPost is: by Foxmail itself completes the work of SMTP server, send the mail to the recipient's mailbox directly. When executing, Foxmail needs to call the domain name server (DNS) to query the IP address of the recipient's mailbox server, so the domain name server address must be filled in the system.
The domain name server address can be filled in the Windows System Icp/ip Properties dialog box, or through the Foxmail menu "Options" "System Settings", in the pop-up dialog box select "Mail SpeedPost", fill in the Domain Name server IP address.
To obtain the domain name server address for your region, you can run from the start of Windows, execute the winipcfg (Win98) command, and view it from the pop-up dialog box in details. or execute cmd (win2000/xp) into the command line, and then perform ipconfig viewing.
Start Foxmail, open the Options menu, and then click the "System Settings" item in the pop-up Drop-down menu (Figure 1).
Select the "Mail Express" tab, in the "Domain Name server 1 (2)" To fill in the IP address, and then the following "Mail sent after the success of a reminder" on the hook on it (see Figure 2).
Use this feature to send a message, just click on the "SpeedPost" button in the toolbar in the Written mail window.
