I immediately rushed to the fault site in three steps and made a step-by-step investigation on the fault site, the typical old-fashioned IBMT30 laptop was found, and its built-in wireless network card device has a transmission speed of up to 11 M. to check whether the working status of the wireless network card device is normal, click Start, set, and network connection commands. In the displayed local network connection List window, find the target wireless network connection icon, right-click the connection icon and execute the "properties" command from the shortcut menu to open the Property setting interface for the target wireless network connection. Therefore, I plan to start with the settings of the wireless Nic device to see if the device is faulty. As a result, I immediately open the Device Manager window of my laptop, find the target wireless Nic device, right-click the device, and execute the "properties" command from the shortcut menu, open the Property setting interface of the target Nic device. When I checked the "advanced" tab page, I accidentally found "802. the value of the DControl option is set to "Strict". I am very surprised to see this setting, because I know that the wireless communication standard used in the previous Wireless LAN is mainly 802.11b, working in the 2.4G Hz band, and currently the wireless communication standard used by the wireless LAN is mainly the 802.11g standard, so how can the wireless Nic device installed in this old-fashioned laptop use the 802.11d standard?

After searching for relevant information in the Internet, I found that the 802.11d wireless communication standard mainly defines some requirements for physical layers such as frequency hopping mode and channelization, in order to allow communication equipment to meet some special control requirements set by national radio. Return to the wireless network card Setting dialog box of the old-fashioned IBMT30 laptop, the author found that "802. since the value of the DControl option is "Strict", it means that the wireless network card device must strictly abide by the 802.11d communication standard when working, however, LAN wireless router devices only support wireless communication standards such as 802.11g and 802.11b.
