* Introduction *fireworks MX2004 version adds a tool to remove red eye effects from photos. The tool acts on the Red shadow that removes a specific area from the selected range and replaces it with the natural color of the gray-black.
* Use the Red eye Removal Tool * FWMX04 red Eye Removal Tool is located on the toolbar, in the same group as the Rubber Stamp tool and color replacement tool. In this group, the color substitution tool is the default tool for use. Click and hold the color replacement tool to see the Red Eye Removal tool that pops up, and then move the mouse to switch using it.
* Adjust the red eye removal Tool settings * as with most other tools in FW, you can adjust the Red Eye Removal Tool settings under the property surface, see figure below:
dimension setting controls the size of the mouse pointer. Use the slider to allow the mouse pointer to set the range between 1-100 pixels. The default size of the red-eye removal tool is 13 pixels.
The
shape Settings tool controls the shape of the mouse pointer. Shapes have squares and circles to choose from. The default shape is a circle.
The
Jongchajong difference setting determines the range of color tones that are replaced. (0 replaces Red only, 255 replaces all shades with red) The Red Eye Removal Tool default tolerance is 32.
The
pressure setting determines the dark degree of the replacement of the red pixel. The slider range is also from 0-100, and the Red Eye Removal tool defaults to a pressure of 25.
* How to remove the red-eye effect in a photo * 1. Select a bitmap that does have a red eye effect. The red-eye removal tool can be applied only on a bitmap, not for vector graphics.
2. Select the Red Eye Removal tool from the toolbar. As noted above, this tool can be found under the color Substitution tool's pop-up menu.
3. Click with the red-eye Removal tool in the red eye effect area of the image display. This tool converts the Red Shadow part instantly, based on the tolerance settings within the property surface version. Please note that the conversion section is limited to the shape range set by the tool as shown in the illustration below.
Because the tool searches only for red pixels, the red-eye effect is completely removed. Adjust the tolerance settings based on your image to refine the hue for the Red Eye Removal tool. As shown in the revised image below, the tool has converted the Red Shadow part to Dark shadows.
* Use hint * because the size of the tool determines the range of the image, using a small size setting will be more accurate than the larger size setting.
If the object is a light-colored eye, it needs to be lower than the pressure set when dealing with dark eyes.
