Solution:
Check the INPUT_DEVICES and VIDEO_CARDS variables in xorg-drivers and add the missing tags in make. conf.
emerge -pv xorg-drivers
These are the packages that wocould be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[Ebuild R] x11-base/xorg-drivers-1.15 INPUT_DEVICES = "evdev keyboard mouse-acecad-aiptek-elographics-fpit-hyperpen-joystick-mutouch-penmount-synaptics-tslib-vmmouse-void-wacom" VIDEO_CARDS = "intel-apm-ast-chips-cirrus-dummy-epson-fbdev-fglrx (-freedreno) -geode-glint-i128-i740-mach64-mga-modesetting-neomagic-nouveau-nv-nvidia (-omap) (-omapfb) -qxl-r128-radeon-radeonsi-rendition-s3virge-savage-siliconmotion-sisusb (-sunbw2) (-suncg14) (-suncg3) (-suncg6) (-sunffb) (-sunleo) (-suntcx)-tdfx-tga-trident-tseng-v4l-vesa-via-virtualbox-vmware (-voodoo) "0 kB
Add modesetting, fbdev, and vesa to VIDEO_CARDS.
Gentoo xorg startx x Error
This problem I also encountered, this is obviously the corresponding graphics card driver is not installed, remember that you are using a virtual machine to install Linux so you want to install a name: xf86-video-vmware driver, I cannot remember the name clearly.
Then, when compiling the kernel, the graphics card driver is also related to vmare, and then remember to make modules_install
Finally, x in xorg-configure is in upper case rather than lower case.
I don't even want to answer you. The last time I answered the question, you actually took it from someone else. I really don't know what you think.
Gentoo startx error, prawn help, tried emerge x11-misc/Xorgautoconfig, but wrapped in masked
Your input information is useless ..
If the package is mask, you can put the package in/etc/portage/package. keywords.
Attach ~ X86 labels:
X11-misc/Xorgautoconfig ~ X86
Save and exit, and then run emerge again.
