In Excel, the system sets up a number of optional startup parameters that enable users to easily customize the startup options for Excel. Because there are fewer articles in this area and many friends don't understand the startup parameters of Excel and their meaning, this article lists all the startup parameters for Excel and describes the specific features of each parameter, as well as two ways to use Excel to start parameters. I hope the introduction of this article will help you with these startup parameters.

First, the Excel starts the parameter and the explanation

/e: Use this parameter to force Excel to not display the splash screen at startup, or to create a new workbook (Book1.xls).

/m: Force Excel to create a new workbook that contains only a single macro sheet.

/o: Force Excel to re-register and write the registration entries to the following items in the registry: Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftoffice8.0excel

/p + Folder path folder name: Forces Excel to use the specified path instead of the default path as the current path. For example,/p "C:My Excel".

/r + Folder path file name: Forces Excel to open a specified workbook file as read-only. For example,/R "C:My Documents12345.xls", you can force Excel to open a read-only "12345.xls" workbook in the C:My Documents folder.

/s: Start Excel using Safe mode. You will see the word "Safe mode" in the Excel title bar and start Excel in Safe mode as if it were first started after installation.

When you start Excel using Safe mode, the following is skipped:

(1) All files in any Excel startup folder.

(2) Add-ins: Although the Add-ins dialog box still displays the selected add-in, Excel does not load any of the add-in macros.

(3) Excel toolbar (Excel.xlb or < username >.xlb): Excel will use the original installation default toolbar settings.

(4) Excel-specific registry information: The Install default registry settings will be used.

Note: When Excel is in Safe Mode, the Options dialog box displays the system defaults instead of displaying user-defined settings.

/RegServer: Force Excel to re-register, and then quit Excel. You can use this startup parameter if you want Excel to rewrite all the registry entries and re-establish the association with Excel files such as workbooks, charts, and so on.

/unregserver: Force Excel to unregister and exit.

Description

(1) Excel's startup parameters are case-insensitive, such as the use of the "/e" and "/e" parameters in the same way. In some cases, you can use more than one startup parameter at a time, and when you use multiple startup parameters at the same time, you must separate each startup parameter with a space, for example: "/O/S".

(2) in the text above the parameters of the ":" Do not have to type, the same below.
