We've prepared this introductory animation tutorial for your readers who are unfamiliar with word, and want to take you to Word and good word.
Second: Open the document
Word can open more types of documents, including Word documents, text files, Web pages, Rich Text format documents, and more.
When you start the Word application, the Open dialog box appears when you click the Open button on the Standard toolbar or the Open ... command on the File menu.
If you know the exact location and name of the document's storage (including the primary and extension), you can enter the full path to the document directly in the File name text box. Then click the Open button to open the document.
Another way to do this is to find it along the directory. The process is as follows:
1. Open the file type Drop-down list and select the type of file you want to open.
2. Open the Look in Drop-down list box and select the drive and folder where the document resides. Displays the folder name and file name of the specified type under the current folder in the File and Folder list box in the middle.
3. Select the document you want to open, click the Open button, or double-click to open the document.
Tip: Select multiple documents in the same folder, and you can open them one at a time.
If you have recently used a document, you can also click the My Recent Document button on the left of the Open dialog box to select a shortcut to the document in the Folder list box, click the Open button, or double-click to open the document.
The following animations demonstrate the process of opening a C-Disk 1, 2, 33 text document in three ways.
