AutoFormat automatically formats the text in a Word document so that users can review, accept, or reject each change. Here's how to use several of the options in the "Apps" section.

1. Perform "format" → AutoFormat To open the AutoFormat dialog box.

2. Select General document in the Drop-down list box, and optionally, either "letter" or "e-mail" as needed.

3. Click the Options button, select the items you want on the AutoFormat tab, and clear the irrelevant options. This animation mainly demonstrates three effects: built-in heading styles, auto bulleted lists, and other paragraph styles.

(1) Built-in heading style: Applies the heading styles in the specified template to the text that uses the heading style in the document.

(2) Other paragraph styles: the paragraph style based on the body of the template is automatically applied to paragraphs that are not in the document except for the title and list.

Tip: The 1-3-level heading and body styles are modified in the animation, and they are saved as a "apply style" template.

(3) Automatic bulleted list: Select this when you type an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the sentence, when a bullet is greater than (>), minus (-), dot (), triangle (), and followed by a space or tab, and then entered text, the text format can be applied as a bulleted list. However, you also need to select the list style item.

Tip: Another "list Style" use method is roughly the same as "built-in heading style" and "other paragraph styles", but the author tries to link its level to the heading style. When you apply this feature, all levels of the text in a list style are applied to all of the document's use of heading styles.

4. Select AutoFormat and Review tracked changes, and click OK to open the dialog box for reviewing tracked changes.

Tip: If you select the AutoFormat item, when you click OK, the document will be changed in the format in the Normal template.

5. Click the Style Gallery button, select the Apply style template in the templates list in the Style Gallery dialog box, and click OK to return to the previous dialog box.

6. Click the Accept All button to accept all changes; Click the Reject All button to reject all changes, and then click the Review Changes button to review the changes and apply or reject them. Click Accept all in the animation to accept the revisions and apply the formatting to the document.
