Getting Started with Word animation tutorial 54: Inserting Page numbers

Inserts a page number into a document, prints it together with the page number, and makes it easier to read and reference. The steps to quickly insert page numbers are as follows:

1. Perform "insert" → "page number ..." To open the page Number dialog box.

2. In the Position Drop-down list box, select the location where the page number is placed.

3. In the Alignment drop-down list box, select the alignment of the page number in the page, where "inside" and "outside" means that when printed on both sides, the page number insertion position is on the "Inside" and "outside" of the page, regardless of odd or even-numbered pages.

4. Select the first page number check box, the page number starts at the beginning of the document, and if you clear this check mark, the page number is displayed from the text level page, but the page number still starts with "2."

5. View the preview on the right to see the page number display effect, click OK to insert the page number into the document at the specified location.

Attention:

1. In the body, you cannot edit the number of pages inserted using the above method, and if you want to modify the page number, switch to the header and footer view.

2. Perform "view" → "header Footer", enter the edit state of the header footer, also open the Header Footer toolbar, click the Insert Page Number button to insert the page number in the header or footer area at the cursor position.

3. Perform "insert" → "AutoText" → "header Footer" → "page number", you can insert the page number at any location where the cursor is located.

4. Use the page field to more flexibly set page numbers, interested friends can check their instructions, in the future tutorial will introduce you to the "domain" knowledge.

5. When you drag the vertical scroll bar with the left mouse button, you can see the page number of the scroll bar in the sidebar on the left and the status bar at the bottom of the document.
