Getting Started with Word Animation Tutorial 109: Character spacing and text effects

Author: User

One, set character spacing

1. Select the text you want to set.

2. Perform "format" → "Font" → "character spacing" tab.

3. The Character Spacing tab mainly has the following items:

Zoom: For scaling selected text, if you want to set a special scaling ratio, you can enter a value of 1-600 directly in the text box.

Spacing: There are three options for standard, widening, and tightening to adjust word spacing for selected text. When you choose widen or tighten, a value appears in the Point Value box on the right, where you can set the point value you want to widen or tighten.

"Position": there are "standard", "promotion", "reduce" three options, select "Promotion" or "lower", the right side of the "Point value" box appears in the value, where you set the points, you can promote or reduce the selected text relative to the baseline.

Adjust kerning for fonts: When this check box is selected, you can select a font size from the points or larger box, and Word automatically adjusts the spacing between characters that are equal to or greater than the selected font size (the author feels that this is not very useful, let alone doubt).

"Snap to grid if the document grid is defined", and Word automatically aligns to the grid if the check box is selected and the document grid is defined. For more information, see "Getting Started with Word Animation Tutorial 30: Qualifying Document lines and words" and "Getting Started with Word animation tutorial 31: Setting up drawing grids."

4. After setting, you can observe the effect through the preview box, and finally click the OK button.

Second, set the text effect

This setting enables the selected text to have a dynamic effect. In the Font dialog box, switch to the Text Effects tab, and in the Dynamic effects box, select an effect that you can view from the preview box. This example demonstrates the effect of setting the selected text after the "Black Dragon Strand".

Tips:

1. Setting text effects is also valid for pictures in a document, but the layout of the picture must be "inline."

2. If no dynamic effects are displayed in the document after Setup, execute the tools → options → view tab, and tick the dynamic text check box in the show area.
