Import SDK
This article will show you how to import HiAR SDK for unity in a unity project. Before you begin, please visit the HiAR official website to download the latest version of the SDK.
Download HiAR SDK for Unity
Step 1. Download the unzip SDK
To download the SDK package from the download page, you can get a zip file: hiar_sdk_unity_yyyymmdd_vx.x.x_xxxxxxx.zip (the file name changes with the version update). Unzip the zip file to see the following directory structure:
- Lib directory: contains Unity plug-in file Hiar_sdk_unity-x.x.x.unitypackage
- Doc directory: Contains usage documentation, License.txt, Changelog.txt
- 3rd_party directory: Contains a three-party library file (the directory after the 1.0.6 version)
Step 2. New Unity Project
Run the Unity program and follow the steps to create a new unity project. Of course, you can also open an existing project directly for import work.
Step 3. Import HiAR SDK for Unity plugin
Double-click the Hiar_sdk_unity-x.x.x.unitypackage file, unity will load and display the plugin content, click Import to start importing. In Unity, you can also click Assets > Import Package > Custom Package ... To import the plugin.
After the import is complete, you can see the following in the Project window:
Tip: Unity plug-ins are different from plug-ins in general and need to be re-imported each time they are used in a new project.
