Drilling and Section
1. Read drilling data
Take TXT text data as an Example
A. Switch to the borehole module, click open, and select the holes.txt file under the tutfiles \ horizons folder.
B. The data import Settings dialog box is displayed. If the file has a header row, select the header row option and click Next.
C. The Setting Dialog Box 2 is displayed. The program automatically matches the columns in order. manual adjustments can be made if the matching is inappropriate. Select borehole in the GMS data option box

Switch to the oblique view to view the imported drilling data. Set the diameter (drill hole diameter) to 5 in the display attribute to make the drill clearer. Open the hole names option to display the drill name.
2. Edit formation and lithology
Click Edit | materials, double-click material_1, and rename it clean_sand. In this window, you can also change the color of the display.
3. Create a blank Section
Click create cross section.
Click the drill hole for the blank section with the mouse in sequence, and double-click the drill hole at the end of the section.
4. Generate a Section
A. Exact match
Click the select cross section tool and double-click the cross section icon (a square) to activate the cross section editor.
Click the automatch button to automatically match the strata between the two drilling holes. Click the build button to generate the section.
B. When the formation center is missing
Press the preceding method and click the automatch button. Then, select the create arc tool to manually connect the line of the missing strata. Click Start and double-click end. Then click the build button.
C. When there is elevation data
First, read the elevation data, click open, and select the elevation tin data file. Then, double-click the section icon (square), click Select arc tool, select the arc section at the top, and click redistribute, in the pop-up window, enter 25 (or other data) in spacing, which generates multiple line segments at 25feet intervals along the arc segment. Click OK to exit redistribute.
Now, you can use the tin data to adjust the height of the generated vertex, select the section on the top, click tins-> arcs, select the read tin data, and click OK to exit.
5. Display Strata
Switch to the TIN module,
Cancel the elevation data read in the data tree to hide it.
