Goodbye, Google

 Time passes through a four-year journey, looking back at my career at Google over the past four years, all the happiness, achievements, and the difficulties and setbacks I have faced, all of this is like a movie that keeps flashing in my mind. At this moment, I can't help but feel different. In the past four years, Google China has been growing from a very small prototype until today, it has become a stable, mature, and on-track company.

Throughout the four years, I have worked hard to bring Google's spirit of "equality, innovation, happiness, and fearlessness" to China. This process is not smooth sailing, but we stick to our own beliefs and values, and maintain strong patience and refinement.

We suppress our desire to make cooler and more dazzling products and strive to search for the best Chinese. Today, Google's search Quality in China is the most accurate, complete, and real-time. After the Chinese search is optimized, we have launched dozens of products to make Google's Chinese map clearer. Google Maps, Google mobile maps, Google mobile search, and Google translation have all ranked first in China. In addition, the launch of music search allows Internet users to enjoy free and genuine music for the first time, creating a brand new model for music downloads worldwide.

What impressed me particularly is the timely product and contribution made by our employees who love China in the face of snowstorms, earthquakes, and windstorms. It proves that Google Chinese love Google and China, it proves that Google's Chinese are both innovative and caring.

When I walked into the cafe at will, I saw young people using Google's integrated search and query information, using maps to view real-time traffic, and choosing their favorite "skin" (Computer Interface) on igoogle ), or when Google music is used to listen to genuine songs, I smile from the heart.

Google is a great and lovely company. I am very grateful for the opportunity to build Google China from scratch. At Google, I learned too much about Internet technology, innovative models, and values.

I have no regrets about Google, but there is still a defect in my life that I want to make up. Over the past 20 years, I have the honor to learn and grow around Steve Jobs, Gates, and Schmidt. I have the honor to go through Apple and Microsoft in the PC age, and I have the honor to go through Google in the Internet age, I have the honor to see the successful growth of the top three companies. I was lucky to have done the most creative jobs in the United States, Silicon Valley and Zhongguancun, China. I have more knowledge in the field of science and technology, and better understanding is the secret to enterprise success. These professional experiences are my most valuable assets, and I very much hope to pass on these assets to Chinese youth.

My next step is to work with Chinese young people to create a novel technical miracle. I want to use my own initiative to take control of the overall situation. I have already reached this stage of my life and will not do it again. I am really afraid that it is too late.

Therefore, even though Mountain View in California once again stretched out an olive branch to me and hoped that I would renew my contract for another four years, I made a heartfelt choice at the moment, I hope to help young people dream about their own entrepreneurial dreams at the same time.

This weekend, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief from business development, strategic planning, resignation announcement, and work handover. I will straighten out my ideas this weekend. Next week, I will share my "from the bottom of my heart" plan with you.

Every time I think of a step I will take, I will think ofFamous saying:

"The most important thing is that you have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You already know what kind of people you really want to be. Everything else is secondary ."

Today I announced my new company, innovation workshop (www.innovation-works.com ).

Looking back on my career, we can say that "Innovation", "China", and "Youth" are the main themes that have deeply touched me. Today's "Innovation Workshop" is based on these three points, the innovation workshop seems to be a turning point, but it is actually a natural continuation, a kind of inheritance in the jump.

What is an innovation workshop?

Innovation workshop is a new integration of angel investment and innovative products. We are a company that makes innovative products by ourselves. But at a stage, we will create a company for this product, find other venture capital, and invest in this new company together. Therefore, the products of innovative workshops are more high-tech products.

Innovation workshop is the Whampoa Military School for entrepreneurs. We will recruit the most competent and potential entrepreneurs and engineers, and my team and I will guide and train them, apart from our own entrepreneurial coaches, our well-known investors (Liu Chuanzhi, Yu Minhong, Guo taiming, and Chen Shijun) will also take time to instruct the company's elite team.

The innovation workshop fills the gap in angel investment in China. In the United States, angel investors led the High-tech revolution and taught Apple's jobs and Google's Larry and sergix. In China, the innovation workshop will combine good ideas and entrepreneurs, help them get the next round of investment, and finally go public.

The innovation workshop provides a wide range of back-up services, such as legal, financial, and data center services, shared software platforms and modules, and search engine optimization services; most importantly, we can recruit the best engineers and work with complementary teams to increase the probability of success and accelerate product development.

Therefore, innovative workshops are a brand new model and an unselected path. Moreover, I believe our model is in line with China. I believe that my technical background, my work experience and industrial relationships accumulated in my past 20 years as a professional manager, my influence in the industry, my international vision and communication skills, they can help entrepreneurs build teams, establish team culture, improve leadership, and improve entrepreneurial success rates. I believe that we will be able to train 50 innovative companies and 500 outstanding entrepreneurs in the next ten years to contribute to Chinese companies and Chinese brands!
