As we all know, Google has always been very exclusive of paid search. As early as 2001, Google had made it clear that it would never accept paid search. But after a decade, Google seems to be slowly changing the idea, at least for part of the search. Last month, Google had begun to change some of its experimental searches-including flights and hotel searches, according to marketing land.
Users can see the word "sponsorship" displayed on the side of the search item that has been upgraded. These will appear directly at the top of the page under the regular ads.
What is the difference between a search term that shows "sponsorship" and a direct ad? According to Google, if it is a direct advertising, then the content of the layout, and so on all aspects will be fully handled by advertisers. But if it is a search term with the word "sponsorship", then Google has the right to decide how it will be formatted.
Google currently accepts fees for flights, hotels and financial products, and it is unclear whether other parties will join in. But Google's move really makes us see a change in the core values of a company.
