Beijing Time July 9 News, according to foreign media reports, online counseling website Tutorspree co-founder of Allen Harris (Aaron Harris) study found that using Google (microblogging) search can only get 13% of effective search results.
Harris wrote in a blog post that he used Google to search for "car repairman" and then analyzed the search results page and estimated the number of pixels in each section of the page. He estimates that only 13% of the pages on the search results page actually show organic search results. Organic search results are natural results based on keyword search, excluding advertising.
Harris Research focuses on the search results page "The first screen (above the fold)", this part does not need to scroll to see. Harris found that in Google's search results page, "The first screen", only 13% Suites show organic search results, another 29% of the layout is the keyword bidding ads, 14% of the layout is the navigation bar, 7% of the page is Google Maps local search results.
Harris also made another search test with the word "Italian Restaurant". This time, he estimates that only 7% of the layout space presents organic search results. Harris also found that the use of Google search on mobile devices results worse. When he searched for "Italian food" on mobile devices, the "first screen" of the Web page showed an organic search result of 0%.
Harris's findings show once again that Google has gone too far on the road to deviate from the search engine. Google's web design has been heavily skewed towards its own interests. In the first six months of 2012, Google's advertising revenue was higher than the sum of all paper media advertising revenue in the United States.
