Google Glass-technological innovation for personal mobile devices

Recently, the Google Developer Conference was held. I think the most exciting product is Google Glass, and I am confident that it will bring about technological innovation for personal mobile devices.

Since there is a "leather" word for innovation, the update is revolutionary. At present, mobile phones have almost become full representatives of personal mobile devices, so I will take mobile phones as an example to talk about the technical innovations I think of as personal mobile devices.

From the big brother to the mobile phone: truly achieves the portability.

Monochrome display turns into a colorful screen: the mobile phone screen is no longer monotonous and colorful.

Music Playing function: mobile phones are not only used to call and send text messages, but also to listen to music. Personal Mobile devices start to move towards multimedia.

Add a camera: a mobile phone is not only a mobile phone, but also a camera. The camera is generally not carried with you, but the mobile phone is inseparable. People can leave wonderful moments anytime, anywhere.

Touch screen applications: without the limitations of the physical keyboard, the screen of the mobile phone can become larger, and more content can be displayed. The hand-written input function gives users a more natural way to input data.

Popularity of multi-touch screens: people can finally operate their mobile phones in the most natural way with their hands.

However, since then, there has been no substantial technological innovation in the mobile phone field. The current mobile phones and operating systems, whether Apple's iOS, Google's Android, or Microsoft's Windows Phone, are all fighting for hardware: faster, more multi-core CPUs, and larger memory, larger screen ...... All of these seem to me a vicious competition. The hardware upgrade is endless, and the mobile phone is still a mobile phone. Even if applications on computers can be transplanted to mobile phones, there is no innovation.

The most important thing is that none of the above innovations have changed the fact that personal mobile terminals are handheld devices. Mobile phones, naturally, must be operated by hand. This concept has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. After all, from the first iPhone to the present, no matter whether it is a real keyboard or multi-touch, the operation is inseparable. The emergence of Google Glass has changed people's concept: personal mobile devices are no longer handheld devices, but become a wearable mobile terminal, in addition, manual intervention is no longer required for its operations. Also, you don't have to look down at the screen any more, because the screen is in front of you. This kind of technological update is revolutionary.

I think Google Glass is just the beginning. It just sets a direction for everyone to tell everyone that devices like science fiction will soon appear in real life. Personal Mobile Terminals no longer slide on a screen by hand, and people's hands can be completely liberated. This is the true significance of Google Glass release. (Google is really a face party!
