Google released instant messaging tools compatible with Vista

Google released a new instant messaging tool that allows users to embed on their Web pages to enjoy the instant messaging service without installing any software.
Unlike the call application software of Google microcomputer, this tool does not need to be downloaded. You only need to insert a column of simple code to the address specified by the user, the tool can be automatically loaded to a webpage or blog, but the user system is required to install Adobe Flash Player8.0 or later. The tool displays a Flash-based interface on the webpage. You can view whether a friend is online on the Google homepage and send real-time information.
As early as August 2005, the instant messaging service was launched, but it is not as popular as the instant messaging service launched by companies such as US online and Yahoo. The new call tool adds new features, including pasting a URL from a YouTube or Picasa album to a chat record and previewing videos and photos during the conversation.
