Installation of Simplified Chinese environment

2-1 Generate Simplified Chinese locale

Unpack the downloaded zh_cn.gz: Gunzip zh_cn

Execute command: localedef-f gb2312-i zh_cn zh_cn.gb2312

If there is no accident, the zh_cn.gb2312 directory will be added under/usr/lib/locale.

2-2 Test Simplified Chinese locale

Since the ZH_CN definition contains more Chinese information, there is much more Chinese information than the one introduced in the previous two articles from the Taiwanese CLE locale.

Use Chinese locale:export lc_all=zh_cn.gb2312

Test Chinese locale: Execute command date to see if there is any change.

Note: On the Redhat 7.0 I used, I only did the above work, STARTX can see the Chinese, the most obvious is that the GNOME desktop clock has become Chinese. If it's in your Redhat 7.0,
