HIVE Common Errors

Refer to the previous Hive test step one by one execution.

hive> drop table Sansom;
Failed:error in Metadata:org.apache.thrift.transport.TTransportException
failed:execution Error, return code 1 from Org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask

 

If
Failed:error in Metadata:javax.jdo.JDODataStoreException:Error (s) appears were Found while auto-creating/validating the datastore for classes. The errors is printed in the log, and is attached to this exception.
Nestedthrowables:
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.MySQLSyntaxErrorException:Specified Key was too long; Max Key Length is bytes
failed:execution Error, return code 1 from Org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask

or
Failed:error in Metadata:metaexception (Message:got exception: org.apache.thrift.transport.TTransportException null)
Failed:execution Error, return code 1 from Org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask

The above error, mainly in the select operation, the drop operation, will be an error.

For such errors, you can modify the Hive database encoding:

mysql> ALTER DATABASE hivedb character set latin1;

Then restart hive Metastore and Hive server.

MySQL database encoding is now best set to latin1, otherwise the use of hive will appear inexplicable problems

debug command:

hive-hiveconf hive.root.logger=debug,console
