During self-check in the morning, the T40 fan made an unprecedented sound, followed by the prompt "Fan error", automatic restart .... but fortunately, the second self-check passed, and the fan sound was also small, but still not normal. I wonder if this is related to the sudden drop in temperature in Nanjing over the past two days? I immediately wrote a while (1) with notepad to push the machine, and then watched the CPU usage while using mobmeter to monitor the temperature. After three minutes, the CPU temperature was over 45 degrees, and the fan started, it lasted 3 to 4 levels for 3 to 5 minutes, the sound was normal, and the speed was even... so Ctrl + C drops the endless loop, the fan stops, and the CPU temperature drops below 20 degrees in 10 seconds .... -_-B flipped down the external jar and never saw the fan freezing in T43. It seems that the small heat is also a sin, remind the brothers who use t41/40 to pay attention to the machine push. In winter, try to adjust the CPU speed to maximum, and use less adaptive or slow.
Finally, we recommend a fan anti-freezing software (which is actually used for temperature control, so you can manually control the fan rotation-_-B): ThinkPad fan control v0.1x
