How do I add a border to a text paragraph in a Word document
1. Open the document, select the paragraph you want to add a border to, and on the Start tab, in the Paragraph group, click the Down Triangle button on the Border button, select the Borders and Shading option in the open list to open the Borders and Shading dialog box, switch to the Borders tab, select the border type in the Settings column, and in the style list box, select the border color in the color Drop-down list, as shown in Figure 1.

2. When you click the OK button to close the Borders and Shading dialog box, you get a paragraph border effect as shown in Figure 2.

Attention
Change the top, bottom, left, and right button states on the Borders tab of the Borders and Shading dialog box to set the 4 sides of the border to appear. After setting 4 edges, the shadow effect and the 3D effect of the border will not work.
