Flash Animation | optimization

Flash as a Macromedia company produced by the Web page production and animation creation of professional software, easy to operate, powerful, has become interactive vector graphics and web animation in fact the standard.

However, if the production of a large flash movie file, often hundreds of k, will always allow online viewers in the constant waiting for the loss of patience. It is necessary to optimize the flash film, but the premise is that we can not damage the quality of the film playback.

1. Multiple use symbols (symbol). If the elements in your movie are more than once, consider converting them to symbols. Repeated use of the symbol does not make the movie file significantly larger because the movie file only needs to store the symbolic graphic data once.

2. Use gradient animations as much as possible. Whenever possible, you should try to animate with a "move gradient" (Create Motion Tween), rather than using a frame-by-step (frame-by-frame) method to produce animations. The more keyframes you use, the bigger your movie files will be.

3. Use more solid lines and fewer dashes. Limit the number of special line types such as dashes, dashes, wavy lines, and so on. Because the line composition of the solid line is the simplest, using a solid line makes the file smaller.

4. Use more vector graphics, less bitmap images. Vector graphics can be arbitrarily scaled without affecting the quality of flash, bitmap images are generally only as static elements or background images, Flash is not good at processing bitmap image action, should avoid the animation of bitmap image elements.

5. Use a simple vector graphic for composition. The more complex the vector graphics, the more laborious the CPU can compute. You can reduce the file by using the menu command Modify (Modify)/curves (curve)/optimize (optimization) to remove unnecessary lines from the vector graphic.

6. The imported bitmap image files are as small as possible and compressed in JPEG format.

7. Sound files are best compressed in MP3 mode. MP3 is the format that minimizes the sound and should be used as much as possible.

8. Limit the number of fonts and font styles. Try not to use too many different fonts, and the more fonts you use, the bigger your movie files will be. Use Flash's default fonts whenever possible.

9. Do not include all font shapes. If you include a text field, you should consider selecting include only Specified font outlines in the Text Field Properties dialog box (only the specified font shape) instead of the Include all font Outlines (including all font profiles).

10. Try not to break the font (menu command is Modify/break Apart). After the font is broken, it becomes a graphic, which makes the file larger.

11. Use the gradient fill color as little as possible. Populating an area with a gradient fill color takes up about 50 bytes more than a solid color filled area.

12. Try to narrow the action area. Limit the areas that change in each keyframe, and generally make the action occur in as small a area as possible.

13. Try to avoid scheduling multiple objects at the same time to produce an action. Objects that have actions are also not arranged in the same layer as other static objects. Objects that have actions should be arranged within their own layers to speed up the process of flash animation.

14. Use the Load Movie command to ease the load on the movie when it starts downloading. If necessary, consider dividing the movie into more than one movie, and then call and unload the movie at any time via the load Movie, Unload Movie command in the main movie.

15. Use the pre-download screen. If necessary, you can add a pre-download screen (Preloader) at the beginning of the movie so that the subsequent movie screen can be played smoothly. Large sound effects files are especially required to be downloaded beforehand.

16. The smaller the length of the film the better. The smaller the size, the smaller the movie file. The Modify (Modify)/movie (film) can be used to adjust the length and width of the movie by menu command.

17. Make a small movie first and then zoom in. To reduce the file, consider setting the size of the movie smaller in flash and then exporting the Mini SWF movie. Then the menu file (file)/publish Settings ... (Publishing Settings ...) The HTML tab in the movie size set larger, so that in the Web page will show a larger size of the film, and the quality of the slightest damage, still beautiful.

When making these changes, don't forget to test the movie's playback quality, downloads, and view the size of the movie file at any time.
